Product Introduction

309S stainless steel is a high chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel, which is a variant of 309 stainless steel and has a lower carbon content. It has various excellent properties and has a wide range of applications in many fields. 309S stainless steel is mainly composed of chromium, nickel, and some other alloying elements, with a high chromium content (over 23%) and a nickel content of over 12%. It also contains trace elements such as molybdenum, manganese, and silicon.


Corrosion Resistance

It has good acid and alkali resistance and can resist the erosion of corrosive media such as acid and alkali. In the chemical industry, it can be used to manufacture equipment such as reaction vessels and distillation towers, effectively resisting the erosion of acidic and alkaline solutions. At the same time, it also has good corrosion resistance in atmospheres with high sulfur content. High chromium content causes a sudden change in electrode potential, rising from negative potential to positive electrode potential, thereby preventing electrochemical corrosion.

High Temperature Resistance

It can withstand repeated heating below 980 ° C, has high high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and resistance to carburization, and can withstand temperatures up to 1000 ° C. It can maintain structural stability at high temperatures and is less prone to deformation or embrittlement, making it more widely used in high-temperature environments such as internal structures, furnace tubes, rotors, and equipment in molten salt corrosion environments. It has excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature mechanical properties in oxidizing media, and can be used for both corrosion-resistant and high-temperature components.

Antioxidant Activity

Capable of resisting oxidation and corrosion in high temperature environments, maintaining surface smoothness and stability.

Mechanical and Processing Performance

It has good mechanical and processing properties and can be used for manufacturing pressure vessels, pipelines, mechanical parts, etc. It is a sulfur containing easy to cut stainless steel, suitable for applications that mainly require easy cutting and high surface smoothness. Its austenite structure is a face centered cubic structure, which has high strength and creep strength at high temperatures.
