1.4529, also known as super austenitic stainless steel, is a corrosion-resistant super austenitic steel. Due to its alloy composition, it has resistance to both organic and inorganic acids. In corrosive media, 1.4529 exhibits excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion.

Overview of 1.4529 (N08926) Super Austenitic Stainless Steel: The Cr content in 1.4529 (N08926) Super Austenitic Stainless Steel is usually 14.0-18.0%, and the nickel content is 24.0-26.0%. 1.4529 (N08926) alloy is a nickel based alloy containing titanium and aluminum, containing sufficient chromium to form and maintain a sufficient scale of chromium oxide, which provides protection under high temperature conditions and is more heat-resistant than traditional chromium nickel stainless steels such as 304; The higher nickel content gives it better oxidation resistance compared to standard 18-8 stainless steel, and its oxidation resistance is not inferior to higher grade alloys used at temperatures up to 1900 degrees Fahrenheit (1038 ℃).


Applicable Fields: This type of super austenite is mainly used in the construction industry, shipbuilding, and seawater and brackish water environments. In the chemical industry, it is used in flue gas desulfurization devices and has been applied in the medical industry.

Forging: Before forging, the steel should be heated to 1150 ° C to 1180 ° C. The forging process is carried out between 1180 ° C and 950 ° C, followed by rapid air or water cooling.

Cold Forming: Due to high strain hardening, greater forming force is required.

Corrosion Resistance: Compared with traditional chromium nickel molybdenum steel, 1.4529 has improved corrosion resistance and has resistance to intergranular corrosion.

Processing: Due to the high alloy content, processing is difficult. High quality high-speed steel or hard alloy should be used.
