A color coated corrugated board is a pre-painted steel sheet that has been roll-formed into a corrugated (wavy) profile. The base material is typically PPGI (pre-painted galvanized steel) or PPGL (pre-painted Galvalume). The steel sheet is first coated with a zinc or aluminum-zinc alloy for corrosion protection, then finished with a durable paint layer (polyester, PVDF, or SMP) in various colors. The corrugated shape adds strength and rigidity, allowing the board to span long distances without heavy support.

Key properties include excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight (typically 4–7 kg/m²), high strength-to-weight ratio, UV resistance (topcoat prevents fading), and easy installation with overlapping side laps. The board is available in multiple profiles (e.g., classic corrugated, trapezoidal), colors (red, blue, green, grey, white, etc.), and thicknesses (0.3–0.8 mm typical for roofing).

Common standards: EN 10169, ASTM A755, JIS G3312. Typical coating weights: Z100–Z275 (GI) or AZ100–AZ150 (GL). Paint systems: polyester (general), SMP (better durability), or PVDF (premium, 25+ years).

Applications: residential and industrial roofing, wall cladding, agricultural sheds, fences, canopies, and temporary structures.

Selection guidance: For coastal or high-humidity areas, choose PPGL base with PVDF coating. For dry inland areas, PPGI with polyester coating is more economical. Always match the profile and thickness to local wind and snow loads.
